Weekly watches - June 7, 2026

The Underside of the Underneath (1972) - Has some cool shots, but just tries to be weird and avant garde. Not fun.

Footprints (1975) - Kind of a gothic mind trip of a Giallo. Fun!

Identikit (1974) - Woman decides she wants to die, and she needs to find the perfect guy to do it. Wild movie. Big fun!

Bugonia (2025) - Hit a little too close to home. Lots of fun scenes, but overall I think it’ll be fun in like 15 years, just not now.

Pee-wee’s Big Adventure - Tim Burton before he went full Tim Burton. While Paul Reubens’ character is absolutely insufferable, it’s chaotic enough and has enough craziness to be a lot of fun.

Howard the Duck (1986) - Amazing first act with a psychotic animatronic duck. Weird watching Lydia from Beetle Juice’s dad go full chaos, but that couldn’t save it from an over-extended second act. Fun-ish.
